The stormy weather might put some people off, but the dogs don't care about the conditions and Silecroft beach looks it's best in the storms.
Our Springer Spaniel, Brandy, having fun in his favourite place.
Gallop on the Beach
Experimenting (successfully I'd say) with wide-angle techniques on galloping horses. It might mean getting within a few feet of fast moving, heavy feet and getting sprayed with sand but the results are definitely worth it.
Surveying the Beach
Our Black Labrador, Luna, surveying the beach ahead of her afternoon walk.
Smelling the Flowers
Luna having a good sniff around the bluebell woods near Skelwith Bridge, Lake District.
Ready and Waiting
Using more wide-angle techniques - This time with the dogs on the beach.
Herdwicks in the Snow
Some very friendly Herdwick sheep grazing in the snow at Wasdale.
One of a number of group gallops on one of mine and Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre's Beach Ride Photoshoots.
In the Shadow of Black Combe
The horses grazing peacefully on a winter's afternoon, overlooked by a cloud covered Black Combe.
Eager for a gallop
Perfect Day for a Canter
A beautifully lit Silecroft Beach was the setting for my latest photoshoot beach ride, with Moonlight and Nadia starring in this one.
A herd of very approachable deer along the banks of Glen Etive in some gorgeous morning light.
A misty morning on Rydal Water was made all the better by the appearance of this heron, who hung around for a bit before gliding off over the water.
Dolphins in Tenerife
Gliding alongside a pod of dolphins in Tenerife has to be one of the best experiences I've ever had. The sheer cliffs in the background and beautiful light made this one of my favourite shots of the morning.
Jumping the Log
It only took about 50 attempts to get this photograph in the local woods, but the lying in the mud for 15 minutes was well worth it.
A stunning and friendly Rhodesian Ridgeback playing in the garden.
